PawAide Expert Guidelines

Upholding trust and quality in pet care advice.

Our Mission

Welcome to the PawAide expert community. Our mission is to provide pet parents with reliable, accessible, and compassionate advice. As a verified expert, you play a crucial role in upholding the quality and trustworthiness of our platform. These guidelines are designed to ensure that the information we provide is accurate, helpful, and responsible.

Reviewing AI-Generated Answers

Your primary role is to review, edit, and approve answers generated by our AI system. Your veterinary expertise ensures the information is safe and accurate.

  • Accuracy First: Verify all medical information, treatment suggestions, and dosage recommendations. Correct any inaccuracies immediately.
  • Clarity and Tone: Ensure the language is easy for a non-medical audience to understand. Maintain a compassionate, professional, and supportive tone.
  • Add Personal Insights: Enhance the AI's answer with your professional experience. Add practical tips, alternative considerations, or personal anecdotes where appropriate.
  • The "See a Vet" Rule: Crucially, reinforce when a pet parent should seek immediate, in-person veterinary care. Your guidance helps users understand the limits of online advice.
Professional Conduct

As a representative of PawAide's expert community, we expect all interactions to be professional and respectful.

  • No Doctor-Patient Relationship: Always make it clear that the advice provided on PawAide does not constitute a formal Veterinary-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR). You are providing educational information, not a diagnosis or treatment plan.
  • Respect Privacy: Do not share any personal information about users or their pets outside of the PawAide platform.
  • No Self-Promotion: While your profile will link to your credentials, please refrain from directly promoting your personal practice or services within question answers. The goal is to provide unbiased information.
Thank You!

Your contribution is invaluable to our community. By adhering to these guidelines, you help us build a trusted resource for pet parents everywhere. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
